Install Plugin

Requirements: QTalsim needs the Python packages pandas, numpy and requests available in your QGIS Python environment. These usually ship with QGIS already; if the plugin fails to load with a missing-package error, open the OSGeo4W Shell (Windows) or your system’s QGIS Python environment and run: python -m pip install pandas numpy requests

Supported QGIS versions: QTalsim supports QGIS 3.40 and later, including QGIS 4.x (Qt6). Both the QGIS 3 (Qt5) and QGIS 4 (Qt6) branches are supported by the same plugin release.

If the plugin is not installed yet, you must do this by following these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Menu Bar, select ‘Plugins’

  2. Choose ‘Manage and Install Plugins’

  3. In the search bar, type ‘QTalsim’.

  4. Select the ‘QTalsim’ plugin from the search results

  5. Click the ‘Install Plugin’ button

  6. The plugin is now installed and can be used

Once the plugin is installed you can access it by going to the menu bar, selecting ‘Vector’ and then choosing ‘QTalsim’.

QTalsim logs information about the processing steps in the processing log. You can open the processing log either by clicking the bubble button in the bottom right corner of QGIS or by selecting “View” -> “Panels” and then selecting “Log Messages”. The log messages of QTalsim are logged in the QTalsim tab.
